Meet the Team

Lauren Long, MA, BCBA

Executive Director

Lauren is the co-founder and executive director of Full Spectrum. Lauren is a 2019 Journey Fellow and has worked with youth in a variety of settings; including summer camps, schools, DCS, and behavior therapy programs. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of West Florida in 2015 and M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis with a certificate in ASD from Ball State University in 2017. Lauren is passionate about Autistic advocacy and supporting the anti-ableist movement for ABA reform. She is an avid self-proclaimed yogi and lover of all things outdoors. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, creating art, reading, spending time with her daughter and enjoying music in all forms. 

Layla Weir, BS, BCaBA

Director of Operations

Hello – I’m Layla! I have been working in ABA for over four years. I recently received my B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue Global and received my BCaBA certification in March 2023. I am passionate about Autism advocacy and ensuring that each child is heard and celebrated as they are. Each child is completely unique and incredible in their own way. I am married and have two children. I also have two dogs and a cat! I enjoy listening to podcasts, reading, and writing. I am so proud to be a part of Full Spectrum and so excited about this journey.

Joaquin Orozco

Co-Founder

Joaquin is the co-founder of Full Spectrum. He is a proud Indiana State University Sycamore where he obtained both his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He is also a 2011 alumni of the Journey Fellowship for youth workers. Joaquin has spent the entirety of his career working with children and adults with a wide array of needs, from developmental and intellectual disabilities to mental health struggles as well. He is a passionate supporter of the Person-Centered individualized treatment movement in Indiana. Along with working full time and teaching at Ivy Tech in Lafayette, Joaquin enjoys being active, traveling around to new cities, and tending to his vast array of house plants

Kayla Harshbarger

Office Manager

Kayla is the office manager for Full Spectrum and has over ten years of experience working with both children and adults diagnosed with ASD and IDD. She also serves as Chairperson for the Human Rights Committee for Supportive Behavior Services. Kayla’s passion for this field has been continuously growing since her junior year of high school when she began volunteering in the special needs classroom. “Having the opportunity to make a positive impact helping these individuals grow, explore, master and gain skills as well as accomplish goals and discover independence is so rewarding and brings me so much joy”, Kayla stated. She is grateful and proud to have the opportunity to be a part of Full Spectrum’s team and cannot wait to see all of the wonderful things this team will do. Kayla is a proud dog mom to three Boston Terriers, Piper, Winston and Bailey and works full time at a veterinary clinic with plans of continuing her education in behavior management. She enjoys listening to podcasts, reading, traveling, crafting with her cricut and learning ASL. 

Ember Shepherd, RBT

Program Assistant/Floater

Ember Shepherd is an experienced RBT who has been in the field of ABA since 2015. She has been determined to bring understanding, acceptance, and support to Hoosier children and their families. In 2016, Ember was nominated and selected as a board member for the Indiana Family Advisory Council, where members worked at a legislative level to advocate for children with special healthcare. She attended USI and (Kaplan)Purdue Global University pursuing degrees in Photography and Behavioral Psychology, with plans to complete her degree in psychology in the future.

 

Ember’s favorite place to spend time is at home with her husband and their two sweet girls. She enjoys evenings in their garden picking vegetables and sunflowers together. In her free time, she makes salsa, creates art and photography, and enjoys getting her hands busy on a home renovation project.

She is looking forward to working with all the children at Full Spectrum!

Scott Keith, BA, RBT

Lead RBT/Trainer

Scott is overjoyed to be an RBT at Full Spectrum.  After dabbling in music therapy and psychology, Scott ultimately graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in theater.  He believes in the transformative and therapeutic magic of the arts.  Providing care to loved ones with autism has given him an appreciation for the unique obstacles families face, and he is committed to fighting the stigma people with special needs battle daily. After studying and traveling all over the globe, Scott is proud to call Waynetown his home, and resides there with his French Bulldog Nova!  Scott’s hobbies include meditation, gardening, gaming, and cloud watching.

Paige Knowling, RBT

Art & Social Media Coordinator

My name is Paige Knowling and I have worked with Full Spectrum as an RBT for the past year! I am currently pursuing my B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis at Purdue Global. I have worked with children a lot in the past in high school and my first two years of college while studying Elementary Education and Special Education. I have always loved being around kids and teaching. In my free time I like to craft, do photography, hang out with my two dogs Jerzi and Jax, be outside, and spend time with family! I’m happy to be able to bring my love for arts and crafting to the kiddos at Full Spectrum. 

Harley Adams

RBT

Hi, my name is Harley, and I am so excited to start my journey here! I am currently in college studying Applied Behavior Analysis, and I am hoping to continue learning outside of school in every environment I am in. I have been in love with the field of psychology since I was 11 years old, and I feel so lucky to be studying and working in the field. I love learning, hanging out with my boyfriend, my dog, and my nephew. I also love trying new things (especially food) and doing aerial silks. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Courtney Houston

RBT

Hello, my name is Courtney Houston. I am a business graduate from Campbell University.  When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors. I have always had a passion for helping wherever I could. I volunteered for Best Buddies throughout high school, which ultimately became the stepping stone to my passion for helping autistic children now. I’m extremely excited for this opportunity and can’t wait to see where it leads me.

Emily Rogers

Hello! My name is Emily Rogers. I’m 29 years old with a background in early childhood education having my paraprofessional certification and having been a pre-K teacher as well as a Title One and special needs aide at Ladoga Elementary. I have my associates of arts degree in American Sign Language, graduating from Vincennes University in 2021.
I love working with littles and learning so much from them everyday. My favorite pastimes are reading, crafting, skiing, and traveling. I am so excited to start this new adventure and get to know the beautiful minds of the littles I’ll be working with

Cree Beatty

Behavior Technician

Hi! I’m Cree! I’m a mama to two littles and a lover of outdoor adventures. Before joining the Full Spectrum family, I was a preschool teacher and director for six years. Watching kids learn and grow is something I hold close to my heart. Along with teaching, another passion of mine is agriculture. So much so, that I even went to a small, rural college in Iowa to earn a degree in pig farming (more formally known as Agribusiness, Animal Nutrition and Swine Science). In my free time I like to volunteer, especially with organizations that had an impact on my life, such as 4-H, FFA, and The Indiana Jr. Leader Project. A few other things I love are reading, jeeping, traveling, making new memories, and meeting new people!

Aliyah Caudill

Behavior Technician

Hi! My name is Aliyah. I’m so happy to have this opportunity to work with and support children in my community! I have previous experience working with children in a childcare setting. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family(and my pups) and reading. I also love anything to do with arts and crafts and I can’t wait to share the fun with the littles!

Taylor Zachary

Hey there! My name is Taylor Zachary. I grew up in southern Montgomery County, and have been around here most of my adult life. I like being able to be a helping hand when and where I am needed. I’m a mom of two great kids, and I have a passion for working with children. I love being able to be creative whether it’s drawing, painting, or fun craft projects! I’m so excited to be a part of the team!

Caitlin Martin

Speech Therapist

Caitlin is a national certified and state licensed speech-language pathologist. She has been working with children with autism for 6+ years in a variety of settings. Her previous experiences include working in autism centers as an ABA therapist and speech therapist. She incorporates AAC, reading, and imaginative play into her therapy sessions. Caitlin specializes in autism diagnostics and currently works part-time in the Riley Developmental Medicine department. She also owns Better Together Speech Therapy, LLC where she contracts with Full Spectrum ABA Therapy, LLC to provide speech and language services.
In her free time, Caitlin enjoys playing house and reading with her two children. She is an avid reader and is part of her neighborhood book club. Caitlin loves unique plants and takes care of 100+ houseplants. She has a special place in her heart for Spain where she has spent time as a childcare provider and student. She speaks proficient Spanish and has 5+ years working with Spanish-speaking clients.
